Upcoming event aims to help entrepreneurs and small-businesses owners

VALHALLA - Small-business owners and entrepreneurs are invited to attend the fourth annual Grow Conference on April 29 at the Westchester Community College Gateway Center in Valhalla.

The symposium is an opportunity for small business owners to participate in workshops that can help them effectively expand their business network. It will include a number of speakers who have successful small businesses. The keynote speaker will be Andrew McMurray, co-founder of Zipz Wine & Spirits Packaging, vice president of Zachys Wine and Liquor store in Scarsdale and the winner of the largest investment deal in the history on “Shark Tank,”  ABC’s reality-TV series about entrepreneurship in America.

The center is home to the Gateway to Entrepreneurship (G2E) program, a resource center for entrepreneurial development. The Grow Conference is hosted by the G2E program and aims to help small business owners expand their network through a series of workshops that focus on creating business plans, brand promotion and financial planning.

Sponsors of the fourth annual Grow Conference are the Westchester County Office of Economic Development, Westchester Community College’s Gateway to Entrepreneurship program and “Latin Business Today.” To register your business or become a sponsor, visit westchestergrow.com.
